Heritage of Cebu Monument, #1:
The "Heritage of Cebu Monument" is a small traffic circle island with life size sculptures "depicting several of Cebu's involvement in Philippine history including the Battle of Mactan, inauguration of Sergio OsmeƱa as President of the Philippines, and the canonization of Pedro Calungsod as saint by the Roman Catholic Church." Being a church/religions skeptic, I'm fascinated by the hold of Catholicism here. Btw, I was baptized Catholic, and I'm an alter boy class drop-out. I do like the cathedrals and their architecture, and the stained glass windows. Also, with the annual "Sinulog Festival" coming up, I will be out there shooting photos again this year.
