I'm going to be transitioning from automobile driving to buses etc in the not-too-distant future. And instead of driving to different favorite spots for my morning walks, I'm starting to walk right from our house again. The Green River is only a 10 minute walk or so from our front door.

I miss the warmth of Cebu at times, but these cool, crisp, sunny, winter morning walks are nice. Two shadow shots from today's walk:

This morning was my first "crisp, cool, sunny morning" walk since last February or March, the kind of morning with the bronze colors of a low rising sun and Popsicle fingertips. Even with my gloves. I won't be able to do any editing until later today, but with over 308 shots, I know I got some "keepers". After I transferred only 5 photos to my To-edit folder, I decided to post one now anyway. The only editing I did was a little cropping.

These photos show a few of the wonderful displays in the Burien Community Ctr last week, from the All Saints Day tradition of "honoring and remembering ancestors and families". Mike and I walked by them on the way to our Tai Chi class...
