27Jun2025 - This is turning into a journal/journey-down-memory-lane thing. I'm looking through my old photo albums, and at the same time, other memories and thoughts are popping up in my mind. This is what old(er) people do, yes? 9May2025 - I decided to leave FB, and just share my photos etc here. Thank you to the special people who check in here...(7Dec2022 - crlazlo meanderings 2 is now 2.1 - I will continue to use it as a preview/workspace for my FB posts, but I will also start organizing the many photos from my retirement years, and also start a journal/memories thing. That's the plan anyway.)

downtown Seattle - glass, lines and reflections...4 years ago, July2021

Over the years when I've gone on my photo walks, my "scenic" shots have often slid into or zoomed in on the lines and colors and patterns.

This Summer will be the first time in quite awhile that I missed most of the car shows in the Seattle area. These steering wheel shots were from the Renton Car Show 9 ears ago on this date, 16Jul2016:

I ike taking what I call my "night lights" photos, and I usually stay with my camera's "Auto" settings when I do that. We walked a short distance from our hotel on Bantayan Island back in May, and we had dinner in the "MJ Square" area. It's sort of like a Mini-mini D-Mall, the one we went to on Boracay Island.

from 4 years ago, while babysitting the twins: A gray blanket came out of their bedroom, slowly moving along the floor. I asked "are you a worm?" "No, I'm a caterpillar." "Oh, you're a caterpillar." "No, I'm a Butterfly!", and Addie came flying out from under the blanket, and ran back into their bedroom.
These two photos of my "boxes" were in my FB Memories this morning. The fat one with marine plywood and Philippine mahogany was around 8" in diameter. I was on a photo shoot down by the Mukilteo Ferry, and after I returned home, I remembered we left this piece on a big rock down at the beach. Yikes! It was still there when I returned. Whew! The taller "Walking Box", made out of walnut, was around 16-18" tall, and I remember tipping it while sanding - the little "beak" drawer came out and cracked. Two pieces. Again, Yikes! But being a hardwood like walnut, it was a clean break. I applied some good wood glue etc and it was good to go. I also drilled a little hole and put in a small dowel in upper inside cavity, so it wouldn't fall out if you tipped it like that. You could raise the front of the drawer a little if you wanted to remove it.

I had a post that included several of these characters in early May? Here are some more images of those knee high child-like Buddha statues on the grounds of the Fo Guang Shan Chu Un Temple:

I have a list of to-dos for when we go back home next month. One of these to-dos is to go on a photo shoot in south Seattle's "Georgetown". I stopped by the little house in this post (from 9 years ago) many times. I wonder if it's still there. 10Jul2016 - "Disappointment to Satisfaction. I knew I should have stopped at 6:15 this morning when I was driving by some train boxcars along Airport Way. There was some really cool tagger art that I wanted to photograph. They were moved before I rode my bike back down there around 7:30. Oh well. I did get in a nice 12 mile bike ride around the perimeter of Boeing Field, AND I Re-discovered this little house in Georgetown belonging to a Collector of things. It's a feast for the eyes, and when I go by here every year or two it always surprises me. This time I had my camera, and I took some photos."

more Boracay E-Trike photos - I loved taking photos when we rode the E-Trikes on Boracay. The last photo is blurry, but I like the green colors, and the open air barber shop
