I must have hundreds of "shadow self portrait" shots from my past decade of photo walks. These are a few recent ones from my walk along the Horse Creek here in Bothell. I call these "Who is that guy? Always following me!"

Shelton View Forest, Bothell

This first photo popped up in my "Your Memories on Facebook" feed this morning, from 4 years ago. I think it was at the Airport Light Rail Station. Ironically, I was going to share a few of my self portrait Reflection shots today, so... These are from July.

I walked down the creek along 98th Ave the other morning, and I ended up taking a gazillion photos. I realized just now that I didn't know it's name. A Search brought up this short video on YouTube:

walking to the park on a cool, Fall morning...the look in the last shot wasn't so much "it's cold", but "put your camera away!"

I love going through my photos in the Fall when I'm editing. So many colors, and more "keepers"! The first one is from last Monday. The castle like silhouette in the foreground is part of a large children's area in St Edward St Pk, "the largest children's playground in the state" according to Wikipedia. We took the twins there yesterday morning.

more Arboretum walk photos...one key to the brighter colors, shadows and lines is the low lying angle of an early morning sun...

This is a sampling of my Fall colors walks from the past few mornings. Even with the temperatures in the 30s, and cold fingers with my photo taking, it was wonderful! The UW Arboretum on Sunday morning, and the St Edwards St Pk yesterday. With the low angle of the sun filtering in through the trees and branches, the colors were... I love looking up, into, and through the forest canopy.

These shots were taken Saturday morning with my little Canon digital, from the upstairs deck, and some from the 6th Floor windows. I've been ignoring this little camera in favor of my DSLR, and I was pleasantly surprised, especially considering the gray foggy skies and zoom lens business. At the same time, I'm excited about editing my UW Arboretum shots from yesterday morning. Amazing colors of Fall, with cold temperatures and blue sky. Later...
