Yesterday:
I never thought I could enjoy being stuck in a traffic jam as much as I was this morning. These are my people! They were everywhere, coming from every direction, and all headed to the starting point for Seattle’s “Women’s March”. I’m looking forward to watching the local news later, and the shots from helicopters. It reminded me of the Super Bowl Win parade, but this was a long meandering river of people moving from the Central Area, down Jackson through Chinatown and up 4th Avenue… Love it!!!!!

I was so happy when Andrea asked me to make a Ring Box for her wedding last June, and I made these four boxes. She chose the curly maple and walnut box bottom center.

It took awhile, but I've started playing with wood again, and I'm working with some pill boxes. This is my first effort - a little primitive, but the carving, the smell of the wood, the sanding and oiling, it all feels so good.

I did one of my early Sunday morning walks downtown yesterday. I usually like a cool, crisp, Sunny morning for taking these buildings photo shoots, but I was curious to see how my 'Auto' settings would work with some overcast grays...

I took some photos for the first time in awhile this past Sunday morning. It was nice walking along the Green River after a light dusting of snow...

Same building photo in Georgetown (4Jul), and two months later (10Sep),  but a little later in the morning, after a Red paint job and with a rising sun. The only editing with the Red one was some Cropping.
