This softer wood, from a Pine or Fir? scrap I had, reminded me how much I like the smells of different woods. The smell of cut and sanded walnut is very different from Birch, etc. I purposely left the lid cut roughed out, and I rubbed a little oil in with the box closed. A simple Wood box.
