27Jun2025 - This is turning into a journal/journey-down-memory-lane thing. I'm looking through my old photo albums, and at the same time, other memories and thoughts are popping up in my mind. This is what old(er) people do, yes? 9May2025 - I decided to leave FB, and just share my photos etc here. Thank you to the special people who check in here...(7Dec2022 - crlazlo meanderings 2 is now 2.1 - I will continue to use it as a preview/workspace for my FB posts, but I will also start organizing the many photos from my retirement years, and also start a journal/memories thing. That's the plan anyway.)

My MapMyWalk app tells me that we walked a little under 2 1/2 miles this morning, in 58 minutes, but that included some short stops at local Carinderias. "A carinderia is a common type of eatery in the Philippines that serves affordable and locally-inspired dishes." They have freshly made, home cooked mostly, pots of Good food...at a price a lot less than what you would pay at a traditional restaurant. We also stopped to take photos of shops we hadn't seen before. We try to vary our different walking routes. Like I wrote recently - a feast for the eyes...
The highlight today for me was finding ourselves walking through a labyrinth of meandering walkways and paths at one point. It reminded me of a film with the Filipino actress Cherry Pie Picache we saw at a film festival in Seattle, at the little Harvard Exit theatre. Back in the late 90s or early 2000s.
ps - I just remembered. We met Ms Picache's sister there. She was living in Seattle then. It was fun visiting with her a little after the movie showing.
