I like to get up between 4 and 4:30 in the morning so I can watch Cebu City wake up. It's still dark outside and it seems like the city lights are blinking at me. The red colors and whites are easier to see, but if you relax and look into the darkness, you can see greens and blues as well! When there is no moon light, the multi colored dots of light are more visible. I took this photo several years ago and it's difficult to see what my eyes see. My eyes see more than what a photograph can capture. The sun usually comes up over the East horizon between 5:30 and 6am and my flickeing lights disappear. The second photo is from a Facebook post of what we call a "river of light" here. I saw it when I looked out our side window and saw this line of flickering candles on the road below us. I'll share more from the FB post next time.
