Neo the cat and I go through this little ritual every morning. I bring my small tray with toast and coffee to the couch and set it down on the end table to my right. Neo looks over at my food, and after a minute or two jumps up on the back of the couch and slowly moves towards the end table. I move the tray over to my left, to the couch tray thing there. He sniffs around and looks over at my food again, and then goes back, sometimes over my lap. I very carefully move the food tray back over to my right. We will do this several times on some mornings. I took this photo just now. Neo is tired.

JR, with his hand going up and doing the antenna thing behind my head, is going to be like Grandpa Johnson was at our family dinners. When you weren't watching, Grandpa would take your baked potato or whatever and put it on his plate

We can't blame British Columbia and their wildfires this time. Fires from over by Chelan(?) are giving us these bright orange sunrises now. These shots were from 6:30 this morning when I was walking out of Home Depot.

I thought it would get darker than it did, but the strange crescent shaped shadows were cool. I liked the ones on the trees in our back yard, and the patterns with the ferns etc by the creek...
