9July2026 - FB is pretty much on my rear view mirror now, except for "Following" other photographers and artists/craftspersons. I also check my FB Memories most mornings since I've been so bad at organizing and saving my photos. 27Jun2025 - This is turning into a journal/journey-down-memory-lane thing. I'm looking through my old photo albums, and at the same time, other memories and thoughts are popping up in my mind. This is what old(er) people do, yes? 9May2025 - I decided to leave FB, and just share my photos etc here. Thank you to the special people who check in here...October2025 - I'm back... (7Dec2022 - crlazlo meanderings 2 is now 2.1 - I will continue to use it as a preview/workspace for my FB posts, but I will also start organizing the many photos from my retirement years, and also start a journal/memories thing. That's the plan anyway.)

The snow-covered tree image popped up in my FB Memories this morning, from a post 2 years ago on this date. I've always looked at trees, foliage, nature... in terms of "layers". It's sort of like having hundreds of clear acetate sheets/images on top of one another. I also think of looking through a microscope? The other images are from the first tree photo I was editing for my foggy Sunday walk post the other day. It's a rabbit hole I find hard to resist jumping into...

It started snowing halfway through my walk this morning. Pretty, especially with the streetlights when I got closer to downtown and the river. I didn't take any photos. This shot was taken after a light dusting of snow in Feb 2021.

One of my favorite things in life right now is reading bedtime stories to our 5yo twin granddaughters. I love how they correct my pronunciations, and interrupt me with their backstories. Lots of giggling and laughter, and negotiating for more books...

A big part of photography for me is the editing after I return home. I'm still going through our island hopping photos, and finding ones I passed on the first time. The man in the small boat came out to tell us they have a larger boat to take us in to the island if we wanted to visit. Typhoon Odette completely destroyed their pier, and much of the restaurant.

Reading the newspaper this morning, I thought about one of my favorite quotations: Murray, from the play/movie "A Thousand Clowns": "It's like those little cars in the circus, you know? This tiny red car comes out, hardly big enough for a midget, and it putters around, and suddenly it's doors open and out come a thousand clowns, whooping and hollering and raising hell."

I came across these shots in my FB Memories this morning, from a post 10 years ago. My brother started painting and decorating skulls for Halloween, and ended up with quite a collection. I have one that I use for my knit cap holder.
