I got out of my morning walks routine for awhile there. It felt really good when I got out there today!

The Tops Lookout, high above Cebu, has a super view of the city and Mactan Island...

We got up into the mountains again on Friday. Thank you to our family for the company, and the ride! We visited the Temple of Leah, had lunch at "the Dales", and watched the moonrise and sunset at Tops. We Topped it off with some barbecue after the sun went down... More photos later.

sometimes, the clouds become the Stars...

There are so many things I like about taking photos. I get to go on my walk, or my island hopping again, when I go through and edit my shots. My peripheral vision when I'm shooting sees things that I'm not focused on, and there are little surprises that pop up when I go to my laptop.

It must have been a nice walk along this pier to the island restaurant, before Typhoon Odette. The sunken concrete pillars where we anchored gave us more to explore, and the guy in the boat came out to tell us they could bring us over to the island to look around there as well. I love the wiggly white lines of sunlight filtering through the water.

 

IHopping 3 - I took around a million photos :), so what the heck! A sequential posting of our excursion was my original plan, but I'll continue with my other Cebu photos. I'll plug these in when I want some more blues...

Island Hopping 13Mar2022 #2

Typhoon Odette did a lot of damage in December. A lot of docks and walkways to the different islands disappeared. We did some wading out to smaller boats to get us to our larger Bangka boat a few times. I was able to get some still photos off of the GoPro shots.

I like the colors and activity in the city, but getting out into the countryside or out on the water is why I love it here. The greens of the mountains, and the blues of the water. On a boat, or snorkeling, joy... I got some amazing underwater GoPro shots, but my tech skills are lacking. I took this video off my laptop screen with my iPhone. I felt like I was part of a video game, or in one of those aquarium screensavers.
