7Dec2022 - crlazlo meanderings 2 is now 2.1 - I will continue to use it as a preview/workspace for my FB posts, but I will also start organizing the many photos from my retirement years, and also start a journal/memories thing. That's the plan anyway.

I like looking at trees through trees. This time of the year, early Spring, the black lines of leafless trees are still here, but add in some early morning sunshine like the background in these shots... I'm seeing lines, texture, color, and layers.

I went over to the wooden walkway across the street today. It meanders through a wooded area that allows pedestrians to bypass a narrow stretch of the roadway there. Lots of bare trees still, but the leaves and greens are coming back. Spring...

I went out for my first photo walk since our return this morning. 44F, the warmest temp this year so far, but for me, Cold!! The temp in Cebu was 77F. The Sammamish River walk was nice, and the early morning sun gave me some nice shadows and colors.

We arrived back in the US 3 days ago, following a 48 hour journey. We had two long layovers en route. Today is Thursday, the 14th, and we get to walk our 6 yo twin granddaughters home from school this afternoon. Joy... It's a balmy 53F outside right now, and sunny! It's 75F in Cebu. I like going back and editing photos I passed on the first time around. Thinking about my tree photos over the years, these are from our excursion up to Toong above Cebu City in January. The views were amazing, and I love the coconut trees...

"Spaghetti wires" are an issue here, but I often played with them as just lines in the images I chose to shoot. In the first two shots, the buildings windows and their colors compete with the chaos of the wires. In the taxi window shot, the torn window sunscreen did the same thing. The humor in the last two shots was priceless.

Tops #5 - the Arches...
I took a bunch of jeepney photos when we were waiting for a Sinulog parade in January. and I uploaded a bunch of them just now. I was wanting to zoom in and focus on the colors, metalwork, the owner/driver names and other personalized things on them. The first one, the amazing SalingSing jeepney, had so many of what I love about jeepneys that I just kept the whole image. You can just zoom in and look at the different things. The way the paint jobs cover the different metal parts of jeepneys reminded me of my train boxcar photo shoots. I also like the silver color tubular trims. I included the two darker jeepneys in part because of the raindrops I saw when I zoomed in. On and on...
