7Dec2022 - crlazlo meanderings 2 is now 2.1 - I will continue to use it as a preview/workspace for my FB posts, but I will also start organizing the many photos from my retirement years, and also start a journal/memories thing. That's the plan anyway.

These shots were taken during a walk in what I call the "dead end" at the West end of the Landing Park. Whereas the trail heading East goes over a bridge at the other end of the park, and follows along the Sammamish River on that side, this one has a "Private Property" sign after a short distance where a condo/apartment complex is located. When the lighting is just right, I can still spend a lot of time shooting photos there. Other bridges further down allow walkers and bikers to go back and forth between the two sides of the Samammish River.

Some images from my FB Memories folder this morning, from posts made on this date between last year and 2015.

I walked out by the UW Bothell campus this morning. There's a walkway that leads out to a wetlands area south of the sports fields. A creek flows by the end of the trail, which is nice, but as it often happens, I end up looking out through the trees...

My eyes have limited my photo editing lately, so nowadays I alternate between editing and wood carving. The piece I'm working on now is Monkeypod/Acacia wood, and it's 10" in circumference. On some days, I'll go back and forth between the two activities 3 or 4 times.

I took these photos this morning. Usually, it's a few days, or months, before my editing and posting. There's a stand of trees I like on the other side of the 102nd Ave NE bridge, and the lighting around 7:30 was perfect.

Green grass and blue skies... We did a loop walk around the Wayne park yesterday morning.

When I walked back over the bridge, I took some photos of the wood grains.

The trees are the stars, but I love how the leaves can take over sometimes. They're telling me "look at us!"

It's so nice walking now, with that never-ending winter in our rear view mirror. It's pleasant being out there in the early mornings, with the sunlight filtering through the trees...
