7Dec2022 - crlazlo meanderings 2 is now 2.1 - I will continue to use it as a preview/workspace for my FB posts, but I will also start organizing the many photos from my retirement years, and also start a journal/memories thing. That's the plan anyway.

I was walking along the Green River 4 or 5 years ago on a really cold morning. There was a bronze golden color on everything because of the low angle of the sun. I took one of my shadow self portrait shots, and a little further along the path, I started noticing my shadow on the trees and bushes...

These shots were from the Cedar River Waterway in Renton around 5 or 6 years ago? It was a clear Fall morning, after overnight showers.

My favorite artist, Edvard Munch, and how I learned how to order Two beers in Oslo...
I met up with a friend when I was travelling in Europe. We went across the street after visiting the Edvard Munch Museum and ordered two beers while we waited for the bus. Oops, there went our bus. I've always been a lightweight when it comes to drinking, so I ordered one more beer for my friend. The waiter brought Two more beers. Another bus passed by, and I ordered one more beer, and... The problem was I was doing our hand gesture for One, with my thumb sticking out. That, in the local vernacular, meant Two.
ps - I'll be headed over to Ballard for a photo walk, and a visit to the National Nordic Museum soon.

I walked with my brothers yesterday, in a park near where I attended Middle School back in the late 50s. Whoa. That was a long time ago. This is Lake Hicks.

we're headed towards the Winter months, with bare trees and their black, silhouetted branches...

So much for my poo-pooing cell phone cameras. I stopped by the old Wayne golf course on the way back from shopping. Although there are less deciduous trees there and less color, they were still nice. This Fall leaves business is sort of like watching fireworks, in slow motion. The oranges and reds are giving way to browns already. After walking around there, I walked back through the tunnel and over the pedestrian bridge to Blyth Park.

Unlike a few days ago, when I forgot my SD card and took photos with my phone, yesterday I remembered the SD card, and I took my telephoto lens. It was overcast, very little sun, but my telephoto caught some nice Fall colors. Our more common greens are getting their seasonal orange and reddish highlights...

Just returned from a Fall colors photo walk. I know I got some “ keepers”, but I only have my memories. No SD card. Dumb dumb dumb... I did take a few with my phone before I took out the Canon.

Looking at the restaurant tent photo from yesterday, I've always enjoyed the layers and visual planes of images during my photo walks. In the tree/buildings shot, you have the tree in front of the buildings, the windows of those buildings and the reflections of other buildings in those windows. I didn't choose another photo that showed a reflection of the building behind the viewer taking the photo. The Pike Place side entrance shot shows a different kind of real depth, and the last photo shows even more layers when you look at the windows and mirrors? in the background...
